Haws Model 9201EFE AXION® Emergency Thermostatic Valve automatically mixes hot and cold water to ensure a safe fluid supply for a single emergency eye/face wash, delivering a flow rate of 12 gpm (38.8 L).
The Haws Model 9201EFE (patent pending) is a thermostatic mixing valve designed to blend hot and cold water, providing tempered water up to 12 gpm (45.4 L) for emergency eyewash stations. It features a paraffin-filled thermostatic element, minimal internal pressure drop even at low supply pressures, and a high Cold Water Bypass flow rate of 10 gpm (37.8 L). The enhanced brass design, with a one-piece casting, includes internal check stops, oversized valve seats, a shuttle design to prevent valve binding, and a funnel design for better temperature control and mixing at low flow rates. It also includes lime and calcium-resistant components. The factory-set outlet temperature is 85° F (29° C), with a temperature adjustment range of 60° to 90° F (16° to 35° C). Maximum operating pressure is 125 psi (8.62 Bar), with recommended inlet temperatures of 140° F (60° C) for hot water and 40° to 70° F (4.4° to 21.1° C) for cold water. Inlet and outlet sizes are 1/2" NPT(F) and 3/4" NPT(F), respectively.
